Multi-disciplinary art exhibitions and pop-up shows at White Stones

Owner and sculptor David Nicholls invites you to experience a unique fusion of art and food. Relax in comfortable surroundings and enjoy contemporary art at its best. White Stones Café Gallery in Easton, Portland offers a fusion of food and contemporary art throughout the year. The gallery exhibition space features the work of local artists from around the South West, alongside David's own work. David's work is on display throughout the year as other talented Dorset artists.

Open For Art

White Stones is delighted to be hosting Dylan Lloyd, Kathryn Arbon and our own David Nicholls in the Studio during Open For Art this year. The Art trail has 71 venues and over 200 artists taking part, from internationally renowned professional artists through to newcomers and children’s prize-winners, there is a vast array of styles and skills. The trail takes you from Abbotsbury in the West through Poundbury, Dorchester and further East as far as Tolpuddle, swooping down back towards the sea and Weymouth & Portland. An exciting journey through the best of Dorset countryside and seashore with sweeping views around each corner.

Venues range from art galleries, cafes and historic buildings hosting artists’ work for the fortnight, as well as group shows and artists’ studios who are opening specially for visitors to meet and see their creative processes and latest work and purchase directly from them. Many can be contacted all year round for personal viewings or commissions.

Dylan Lloyd’s paintings are a contemporary take on the traditional subject matter of the Garden. Dylan will be giving an informative and entertaining talk about his work, and demonstrating his painting technique on Saturday 25 May 3-4pm in the Studio. This is a free event, but ticketed, due to space limitations.
